When it was first launched, GLife started with a little over 30 brands, including Lazada, Purego, KFC, McDonald's, Fully Booked, and Datablitz. Its launch coincided with the surge in GCash users during the pandemic as Filipinos opted for online transactions instead of going the traditional, in-person route.
With over 51 million GCash users as of October 2021, merchants on GLife have an instant captive market. What’s more, GCash runs campaigns all year round, providing merchants the opportunity to increase brand recognition and get complimentary benefits worth up to P200,000.

Give us a few pertinent details
The GLife Mini App activation process for ChatGenie merchants is hardly tedious at all. We simply ask you to fill out a Google form, which will be given to you by our Customer Success Manager.
Here, you have to provide the following company details: Email, Mini Program Name, Mini Program Category, Mini Program Image, and Customer Service Contact Number and Email. You’ll also provide a Store Description, a Slogan of at most 36 characters, and Keywords/Tags that customers can associate with your store for search purposes.
You might ask, what about the GCash Miniprogram Onboarding Form located in the ChatGenie dashboard? This was designed as well to obtain merchant information for GLife activation but it’s still under development. Once this feature goes live, the Google form will be retired and merchants will be asked to fill out this form instead.

The Mini App activation involves the uploading of merchant information to the GCash console, the creation of the actual Mini program, internal testing, and review. This requires a collaboration between the company’s customer success manager, integrations developer, and quality assurance lead. Overall, the process takes three to four weeks to complete.

The interface of the GCash Mini App is pretty straightforward. Products, complete with descriptions, are at the forefront of the page and there’s a button that customers can click to view additional items. For easy viewing of products, customers can use the search bar and even filter search results based on price.
The menu at the bottom allows customers to check their cart and look at their order history for orders requiring confirmation, those still pending, as well as ones that were completed and canceled.
